The applicant and the proposed represented person should attend the hearing.

Other interested parties are encouraged to attend or at least talk to the Tribunal's staff about what they would like included in the investigation report so the Tribunal can ascertain their views.

If physical attendance is not possible, parties or witnesses may be included by video conference or telephone. If you need to attend by video conference or telephone, please contact the Tribunal before the hearing to let the registry staff know.

Can I be compelled to attend?

Yes. Sometimes the Tribunal may direct the Deputy Registrar to issue a summons to appear. Once a summons is issued the person must then attend as directed.

Unless you have received a formal summons, attendance is not compulsory.
