Can I bring a lawyer?

The Tribunal's processes are informal and seek to give every interested party the chance to participate in both the investigatory process and the hearing. For this reason you will not usually need to bring a lawyer.

However, if you are the applicant or the proposed represented person you can bring a lawyer to the hearing.

Other interested parties will need to seek leave of the Tribunal at the hearing if they wish to be represented by a lawyer.

Even though parties may be represented by a lawyer, the proceedings remain relatively informal.
